Abstract

The article analyzes scientific opinions on the content of studying peculiarities of criminal liability for offenses in the field of information and communication technologies use. An in-depth analysis of such scientific concepts as the crime object has been conducted. In particular, it is emphasized that information security can be both the main and additional object of a crime. The article summarizes that crimes against security of information and telecommunication technologies are prohibited by criminal law socially dangerous acts encroaching on social relations that ensure the security of processes and methods of search, collection, storage, processing, provision, dissemination of information by means of electronic computing machines and information telecommunication networks.
